We stayed at lost Dutchman state park and this was a close option for breakfast. It was also well rated so we opted to try it. Tucked away in a strip mall with little more than the word cafe above its doors- it had many table options open for our arrival. This seems like an off the beaten path place for locals to enjoy. A hidden gem if you will. The decor is nice- it’s modern and has photographs on the walls- local artists for display. They do also sell handmade soaps and lotions at the cash. They allow you to sample these by providing bars in the rest room. The tables are cool- They have advertisements built into the tops. Kind of a retro feel. The staff is friendly and easy going. The menu is pretty expansive with options for everyone. I tried the chicken burrito. Also shared blueberry danish French toast with my partner. He had the chicken fried steak. So the portions here are absolutely MASSIVE. the quality of food is pretty good too. I wouldn’t recorder the burrito- it was difficult to eat and needed to cut it apart which I felt defeated the purpose. The spice level was tolerable and tasty. I got through 3/4 of it before tapping out and rolling out the door. The French toast was an absolute ten on ten. So tasty. So amazing. You don’t even need to add syrup it’s good as it is. The blueberries are baked into the bread. I’m drooling thinking about it and writing this review. My partner loved his dish. The fried steak was perfectly crispy and tasted incredible. We would return, I’d just pick something else.

My husband has been popping in to the cafe for breakfasts while we are down visiting in the area and telling me how great it is…. So we finally had time to stop in together and I was so impressed! Atmosphere is great! They have the art/photography of a local artist on the walls for sale! I love that ! It definitely has that friendly neighbourhood cafe feel ! Our server was welcoming, cheerful, willing to share about the menu and items she would recommend in such a down to earth and authentic way. We had the Taco Salad & crazy amazing burger that I can’t remember the name of…. both were fresh & delicious! As other peoples food was going by, everything looked crazy good ! I think I might have to stop in for a Croissant Sandwich! What a gem of a restaurant! So glad I didn’t just let my hubby keep it to himself !

If you’re hiking in the Gold Canyon area, this is a great breakfast spot! The service was fabulous, attentive, and helpful. The breakfast burrito was so big they served it with a steak knife! And the salsa it comes with is sweet, not spicy, which for me is perfect. Food came quick and they have plenty of choices. Would definitely come back if we visit again.

Gold Canyon Cafe We were going to take a day trip to Globe and have dinner. It was still early but late enough we thought the construction past Superior would be over. We were wrong. We turned around and headed to this place though it wasn't going to be open yet. We had to wait a while before they opened. We were seated immediately. Our waitress at didn't seem to have much personality at first but she opened over the course of serving us. Fried zucchini? Hell yeah! Beer battered spears at that. I feel you get the best taste of batter and soft interior of zucchini when they are fried this way. The beer batter was thin and crispy. I'll take 5 more orders to go please! We both ordered the chicken fried steak. Good choice. There could have been a little more gravy but this was my only complaint. It wasn't the best, but tasty nonetheless and I would order it again. The food we saw coming out to other tables looked good as well. The French fries were okay. We'll definitely go back if in the area.

This place I can't find any down sides. The food was excellent. The breakfast burrito filled my tank all day. The service was top notch. And I enjoyed south west art displayed throughout. Next time I entertain house guests, I am bringing them here!
